I grew up eating Broccoli Slaw, and it’s still one of my favorite side dishes. The recipe is unique. Not many salads involve ramen noodles, but I promise it will be a hit with everybody who tastes it.
You can find a bag of pre-shredded broccoli slaw in the produce section of your grocery store. You don’t have to cook your ramen as it soaks up the dressing and provides an excellent soft crunch packed with flavor. The dressing comprises just four ingredients, and the entire dish comes together in less than 15 minutes.
Broccoli Slaw
The perfect dish to bring to a potluck!
Ingredients
Slaw
- 16 oz bag of broccoli slaw
- 1 bunch green onions chopped (greens & whites)
- 2 ramen noodles packets, chicken flavored broken into 1-2 inch pieces
- 1 cup slivered almonds toasted
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
Dressing
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 packets ramen seasoning (that came with the ramen from the slaw)
Instructions
- In a small pan over medium heat add the slivered almonds and toast for about 5 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds to keep from burning.
- In a mason jar add the 2 ramen seasoning packets, sugar, oil, and vinegar. Shake until combined.
- In a large bowl add broccoli slaw, green onions, almonds, broken up ramen pieces (uncooked), and sunflower seeds. Stir in the dressing and serve!
Notes
You can make this a couple of hours ahead of time! If you want to prep, it for the next day keep the dressing and the ramen separate and combine a couple of hours before serving. This gives the ramen time to soak up the dressing without losing its crunch.

Review of Broccoli Slaw
This is my favorite salad of all time. I’m not sure how I would live without it! I’m glad to have evolving cookbook share this recipe with me many years ago when we were kids.
